Henbury Court Primary Academy

News

Dear Henbury Court families, I have attached a letter from the CEO of Trust in Learning Academies, the larger organisation we are a part of, about a proposed merger with another Bristol Trust, Cathedral Schools Trust (CST). We are grateful to the wonderful community we serve and would like to reassure you all that from a parental perspective very little will change or feel different. Myself, Ms Brown and the team here are committed to the school and will oversee the proposed merger and the future development of the school as planned. This will not change. The information attached gives a flavour of the schools in the other Trust (CST) and outlines the process for sharing your own thoughts or feelings, as well as the opportunity to contribute to the consultation process. I would encourage you to do this, whether you feel positively or negatively about the merger. I am available, as always, on the gate to discuss this with you or answer any questions you may have. Many of you know that within the last 18 months, Henbury Court was part of Endeavour Academy Trust which merged smoothly with Trust in Learning Academies so we have recent experience of managing a school through a merger and can vouch for the fact that practically very little changes, but the schools do benefit from being part of a larger organisation. Please see the other letter attached for a more detailed breakdown. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to speak to me on the gate or arrange a meeting with me via the front office.

Yours sincerely,

Jake Howarth-Brown
